Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union endorses Witwer for the 71st House District

DELTA TOWNSHIP, Mich.­- Angela Witwer, candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives 71st District, earned the endorsement of the Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union.

“Our members are confident that when you are elected, you will fight to protect their safety and their rights in the Legislature,” said Mark Docherty, president of the Professional Fire Fighters Union.

Witwer is a passionate advocate for countless community members in need of adequate representation and understands the importance of providing support to the thousands of men and women who have risk their lives to protect this community. House District 71 encompasses most of Eaton County, including the cities of Charlotte, Eaton Rapids, Grand Ledge, parts of Lansing, Olivet and Potterville and the township of Bellevue, Benton, Carmel, Chester, Delta Charter, Eaton Rapids, Kalamo, Oneida Charter, Roxand, Sunfield, Vermontville, Walton and Windsor Charter. The district represents approximately 100,000 residents.

The 2018 primary election takes place Aug. 7 with the general election Nov. 6.
